The True Diva is Return
Who is your greatest diva through the times? Some names may pop up right away, you may say Celine Dion is the truly diva, other may claim Tina Turner, Barbara Streisand or the legendary Marilyn Monroe and her legacy Madonna. All names are fair, since they indeed contribute a lot on our music and entertainment history. But for me, I do fans and believed that Cher is the one. This half Armenian and half Georgian singer and actress had crafted her works for decades, singing and acting since the late 60’s.
I do believes that the true legend diva is the one who could achieved in everywhere, incredible at singing, talented in acting and did inspired lots of people, and Cher indeed achieved all of it. She has won an Oscar, Grammy, Emmy and 3 Golden Globe during her career. Among the other legend, I do only know one name that could do the same achievement; it’s the legendary and lovable Barbara Streisand who also does everything and contributes a lot on those different fields.
Born as Cherilyn Sarkisian on May 20, 1946, Cher started her career as backup singer on several classic recordings, such as The Righteous Brothers, The Crystals and The Ronettes. She started her debut with single “Ringo, I Love You,” which is not really getting noticed among the audiences. Her first breakthrough was on the duo of “Caesar and Cleo(patra), where after Cher continue to become unstoppable and recognized as popular pop/rock singer. Cher released 25 albums through her career, where many of it make a big hit and granted an awarded.
Entering the 70’s, Cher decides to start acting and became a television star in the 1970’s and continues to become a film actress on the 1980s. And she proved her talent again to the world where she won the most prestigious award on the cinema, she won the Academy Award in 1987 as best actress for her role on Moonstruck. Her 40 years contribution and commitments on the music industries indeed establish Cher as the most enduring icon on pop culture and the most popular female artist on the music history. Well I do one of those whose thinking that way.
If you are the real fan of Cher, then get prepared and don’t miss her upcoming show at the Caesars Palace in Vegas. The spectacular concert had starting since May 6 2008 at the Colosseum in Las Vegas Caesars Palace. Cher its self promising that her concert will be visually unbelievable and full with the parade of elaborate choreography, eye-popping costumes, complex staging and dancers. Cher Las Vegas concert will be at Caesars Palace from 2008 to 2010 and the ticket is already release till the October show. It’s a lot of time on schedule, therefore be sure you didn’t miss it.
