Amber is a beautiful gift from mother nature. It comes in many colors - yellow, orange, red, white, brown, green, blue and almost black. It may be transparent or clouded. Transparent range of hues pale to dark yellow, yellow to light brown. Cloudy orange comes in several colors. Amber is the fossilized resin of trees that have grown in “orange forests.” Through various physical and chemical changes of the resin became amber.

Oil painting is the process of painting with pigments that are linked to a drying oil - particularly in early modern Europe, linseed oil. Often, an oil such as linseed was boiled with a resin such as pine resin or even incense, which were called “varnish” and were valued for their bodies and shiny. Other oils are sometimes used poppyseed oil, walnut oil and safflower oil. These oils various properties give the oil painting, as yellowing or less different drying time.
