Almost everyone has heard about the huge crack down on music piracy on the Internet, which took place in recent years. Napster was taken down (even if it has now returned as a paid service), other file-sharing programs in now require users to pay for a license and the RIAA and other similar organizations are doing their best to track down offenders of copyright and to put an end to their crime. Consumers, on the other hand, argue that their actions hurt person, there is no harm done to anyone by their are not buying an album. In addition, they claim, MP3s allow them to taste before you buy a CD, which is helping sales.
