The affiliate programs are an excellent way to earn money or even a good life if you do things. But unfortunately, there are many people there that know and do everything in their power to scam you in selling their without having to pay you a penny. There are vendors that view as a source of free movement and free marketing. Here are some things that should draw up a red flag when you encounter an affiliate program:
- Too High Commission
Yes, it is high when we find affiliate programs that pay high commissions. But you must also be mindful that these are not only trying to draw you into their program with large numbers. It would not be good to earn a lot of money just to get scammed. If it is good to be true then it is more likely. A merchant will never pay more to the committee then they should get for sale. It is simply not smart business.
- Returned affiliate payment checks
If they do send a check to your bank and then returns it would be one more reason to establish the red flag of the scam. Of course, you must always communicate with the to try to resolve the issue, it could be an honest mistake. But if it occurs in conjunction with any e-mail and answers lousy affiliate support then I would not waste my time with them.
- No information
If they do not display their contact information on their site then you should not bother with them. For me, tells me what they are trying to hide something.
- No answers your e-mails
If they have their e-mail on their site and send you an , but they never responded then you must file as a hot rock. If you can not be trusted to take a minute to give you an answer then you should not count on them to spend a few minutes more cutting and sending you a check.
The main thing is that you always use your instinct when it comes to affiliate programs. If you are unsure an affiliate program and search for merchants name. If they are known for scamming affiliates you’re sure to find in search engines and affiliate forums.
